Outsourcing typically involves the transferring of employees and assets from one firm to another. The idea of outsourcing might sound great to a business owner, and even to a consumer. There are many reasons that companies outsource various jobs, but the most prominent advantage seems to be the fact that it often saves money. Many of the companies that provide outsourcing services are able to do the work for considerably less money, as they don’t have to provide benefits to their workers and have fewer overhead expenses to worry about. Depending on location, it may also be more affordable to outsource to companies located in different countries. Although it seems beneficial, there are some possible downsides to outsourcing as well. One of these is that it often eliminates direct communication between a company and its clients. This may prevent a company from building solid relationships with their customers, and often leads to dissatisfaction on one or both sides. There is also the danger of not being able to control some aspects of the company, as outsourcing may lead to delayed communications and project implementation.
Google Glass and technology like it is definitely an evolutionary step in the direction of technology. The features Google Glass provides is simply amazing. I can’t believe Google has the ability for their software and hardware to run smoothly in real time. Being able to see what others are doing through their perspective is simply mind blowing. It’s almost like you are living in a virtual based life, in fact everything seems so simple and easy because everything is right in front of you. The options that are available to you are limitless when using Google Glass. With this technology being released to the public I see nothing but amazing things happening in the near future. I feel from that this device will help increase technology as we know it. It will open doors to new ideas and greater, more advanced technology. I can’t wait to see what’s in store within the next five to ten years.
Having technology like this makes almost everything you could ever imagine possible. Google Glass gives you everything you need in real time when you need it. It helps benefit everyday life by saving time and increasing productivity. Pieces of technology like this allows the human mind to become more creative and sprout ideas that could help benefit society and this country as a whole. Even though I see nothing but positive things from technology like this, there are also negatives that have to be put into consideration. Using these glasses to see videos can be a huge distraction. It can create accidents or simply distract us from reality. Also, since this is always connected to you when you’re using it everything you’re doing is being broadcasted to the Internet. This can result in privacy issues such as not wanting certain people or employers to know or see what you’re doing at all times. People might use this piece of technology in a negative way but there is no telling what can come with it. We will have to just wait and see. With everything that has been brought up I still feel like this is revolutionary piece of technology.
I consider many forms of information on my computer to be private information. A very import piece of information, when it comes to being online, is passwords and usernames. If anyone steals my username and password they can access my profiles and do anything with it from accessing my personal messages to changing information. But overall the most important information is credit card and debit card information as well as passwords to important accounts. If a person gets a hold of that kind of information you can kiss all your hard earned money goodbye. It will be a life changing problem that some people can’t even bounce back from. Pictures and general information will always be out there for people to view, you just need to be careful to not give out too much.
I feel like maybe the problem is not that the government and business corporations can see your personal information. Especially on social media websites, because if they feel like you might be a threat they will look at your email conversations and website activity and track your phone calls. Most jobs, especially government jobs, require a full background check where they can find out everything about you anyway. I feel like the bigger problem with freely giving away information on social media websites is that most people don’t even realize that almost anyone can go onto their profile and find out what they look like, their phone numbers, where they live, their relatives and much more. The bigger problem at hand is that even if your profile is private people can still see a good amount of information about you. They then can use that little information to track down more about you. Also, once things are out on the internet it is almost always going to stay out there.
In my opinion downloading music illegally is a victim less crime. There should be no punishment for downloading music off the Internet for free. People have made it so easy to download music for free that it’s almost effortless. I see it as if you want to support an artist you can pay the 99 cents or the 13 dollars for the album and enjoy the music. On the other hand, if you enjoy all kinds of music and really don’t have that one artist you love, then why not download it illegally? Enough people will buy the song and the song will be played multiple times on the TV, radio, etc. to a point where the artist will still make an incredible amount of money.
In my opinion I feel illegal online downloading is not stealing. As a citizen of the United States you should have the right to buy music or to just download it for free entertainment. Everyone loves music and not having enough money to buy an album wouldn’t be fair. Certain artists in my opinion have way to music money and would be able to release an album for free and still get millions and millions of dollars from advertisements and endorsements. Why are their sites where you can listen to unlimited music but yet you can’t download it yourself? You can go on YouTube whenever you want and listen to music videos for free so why do people have to pay for it if they want to have a music file on their hard drive. Maybe some laws should be changed due to reasons like that but for now I feel that there should be no punishment for illegal online downloading.
